Being a feminist, I get offended by your title. There is nothing to laugh about it…being a blogger entails social responsibility also. We don’t write just for the sake of filling a space but we have to take into consideration also of people reading our blogs. I have worked fighting for human rights violation and I have seen the pain of women (victims of violence) who have undergone such trauma…it’s a pity that some people find something funny about it. Why not use a different title…something more suitable for it.

I love the vintage ads, in a way it can shed a lot of light on the reason some older women are the way they are. We worry so much about media influence these days on our children, if you lived through that era it does seem that it may still be hard to shake off a little of the influence of that time. Which would explain the comment my mother-in-law made one day when I wondered what could be keeping my husband at work late that night (normally he would call and let me know he was going to be late). She said, and I quote, because how would one forget such a thing:

“Why? What does he have to come home to? It’s not like you have dinner on the table.”
