@ Sandier Pastures: “Since I am a mommy blogger wannabe also, I set up a separate blog where I rant about pee and poo” – that’s actually not a bad idea! :)

@ Dot H.: thank you so much! You are so wonderfully supportive.

I think you already have a distinctive voice and a lot to say. Maybe if you thought about why you want to be a mommyblogger? I think you're more universal than that, but that doesn't stop you from being able to blog about mommy issues if and when you want to. And I love your blog title, because it IS a grind (not that I've had the pleasure/pain) and that conveys some of your honesty.

Hello Vered, I'm having difficulty "categorizing" my blog too. I live in Dubai and write most about my expat life here. I throw parenting/kid-related posts once in a while but mostly I write about the things going on in this 'interesting' place - and I tell you, there's so many so I can't be a mommy blogger wholely.

Since I am a mommy blogger wannabe also, I set up a separate blog where I rant about pee and poo. :-)

Sandier Pastures's last blog post..<a href="http://www.sandierpastures.com/beautiful-dubai/worlds-largest-fountain-to-be-built-in-dubai.html" rel="nofollow">World’s largest fountain to be built in Dubai</a>

"Afterall, isn’t being entertaining and interesting the most important thing?"
Absolutely. And the only way to be that is to write from your heart and pretty much ignore all the advice and rules about how to blog.

Vered

I like it. It's funny and cool and you are too, so TA DA, perfect fit!

Part of the reason I haven't had a site redesign yet is I keep thinking I'll figure out what my angle is as a blogger, but so far, nope. I'm not even sure what a Mommy Blogger is though. I used to think it was all those sites with give aways and tips on caring for kids, which is so not my thing. But now I'm not so sure. I'm going to check out some of your blogroll and see if I can find some more intersting moms (and dads) and writers to hang out with. Afterall, isn't being entertaining and intersting the most important thing?

Hey there...it really depends on your definition of mommyblogger..is a mommy blogger a mom who happens to blog? Or is it a mom who blogs about being a mom or a mom who blogs about parenting?

I think the majority are mom's who blog...and that is it.

@ Amanda: thank you. :) No doubt, the most important thing is to have FUN.

Vered, you are doing a fabulous job with your blog! It takes a while to figure out your voice. For me, I have had to just accept who I am. I am not witty and sharp like some moms. I am not funny when I poke fun at subjects. I am just honest and sometimes a little bit cheesy.

Also, I write two blogs which helps me figure out which category I fit in. One is personal and my total mommy blog (www.teamespinoza.com) and the other is my advice blog (www.themomcrowd.com). Which you already know about.

I think it is okay to be both here. That is what so fun about blogging - we are our editors and we can do whatever the heck we want with our blogs. :)
