15 Minutes Of Fame - Again??
Apparently fame can happen more than once in a lifetime.
MomGrind is the New Blog Of The Week over at Barbara Swafford’s Blogging Without a Blog.
In her blog’s About page, Barbara writes:
“My name is Barbara Swafford.
Is what I write credible? You decide.”
This should tell you a lot about Barbara. She is smart, down-to-earth and not afraid to ask tough questions. Her writing style is clear and simple. She challenges her readers to think. She is an expert at creating a vibrant community around her blog. In fact, hers is one of the few blogs I fell in love with right away. I subscribed to her blog after the first visit. Usually it takes a few visits before I commit to a blog enough to become a subscriber.
Thank you Barbara. I am honored, flattered and very, very grateful.
If you clicked over from Barbara’s blog and are wondering what’s worth reading over here, I think I will follow Marelisa’s example and suggest these posts - they are the very best (to judge by number of page views and comments) that I have managed to produce over the past four months:

These posts are more personal and will tell you more about who’s behind MomGrind:
My Name Is Vered, And I’m A Mommyblogger Wannabe
MomGrind’s regular posting schedue will resume tomorrow but no Wordless Wednesday is planned. Instead, I will make an important ANNOUNCEMENT. See you tomorrow!

Hi Vered,
Thank you so much for your kind words. That was so sweet of you.
Ironically I thought you had been blogging for a long time as I saw you all over blogosphere. I subscribed to your blog, and it wasn’t until recently while I was going through your archives in my reader, I realized you had only started blogging in March. I was shocked. You have this blogging think down pat, as well as networking.
You’re a great example for other new (and old) bloggers and I had to do my part to point as many people in your direction as possible.
Enjoy your reign. The diamond crown is in the mail. hehe

Dude, Barbara is the master of picking the best blogs for NBOTW. (And that’s not just because I was fortunate enough to be one…). Like Barbara, I find it hard to believe you’re new on the scene. Your voice and presence are so well-established!

And now you’re using the cliffhanger technique. I’m dying to know what the announcement is! Excuse me, what the ANNOUNCEMENT is! I’m assuming that all caps means it’s a good thing, so I’ll just live with that for now.

Ack! I’ve been sucked into some vortex of the blogosphere… a blortex? *shrug* sooo dizzy… I discovered “Blogging Without A Blog” from a comment on this site, and now I’m getting sent here and they send me back here! sooo diiizzzzyy…
Some one tell me when the room stops spinning…
I too didn’t realize that you only started in March, that’s pretty cool! Keep up the good job. You’re posts (blog and comments) have been one of several things that have motivated me to start blogging again. I might even resurrect some of my old post back into the archives.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go flog myself for actually using the word ‘blogosphere’ in a… Gah I did it again! From some reason… I really hate that word…

Congrats, Vered!
I read your blog because you write from a personal point of view about issues of interest to all of us - and no regurgitation here!
I too was amazed to learn that you’re new at blogging; you have an instinctive feel for this game!

@ phyllis: thank you.
@ the rambling housewife: I think you are more laid back in your approach to blogging while I ATTACKED the blogosphere with all my might.
But that’s exactly why I need to scale back for a few weeks now (see today’s post), and it worries me, because I am still in the process of building my blog and my online presence. Life has a way of interfering with blogging.
@ Liz: Trips with kids are often more stressful than fun… hope you have a good trip.
