Pastry shoes are pastry-colored athletic shoes from Angela and Vanessa Simmons, who are apparently the stars of some reality show, but since I don’t watch reality shows, the name of the show means little to me.
However, upon receiving an email from the company’s representative asking me if I would agree to a review and a giveaway of the shoes, I looked at the company’s website and realized that while I’m way too old for these shoes, my pre-teen girls are going to love them.
Pastry shoes are athletic-yet-girly. They come in an assortment of pretty colors and many of them are also studded and embellished. The Simmons sisters have describe their Pastry Footwear line as “for girls, by girls.” Indeed, my pre-teen and teenage girls were excited by the shoes – we received two pairs of the Sire Blocking in Black Purple Blue, priced at $44.99.
The company’s website explains that “Pastry is about serving fun fresh product to junior girls. Pastry allows young girls to express themselves with unique looks.” My daughters agree!
If you have, or know, pre-teen or teenage girls, this is the perfect gift for them. The shoes are pretty, girly, yet very comfortable, according to my daughter. In fact, she wore them as soon as they arrived, a few hours ago, and has not taken them off since.
If you’d like to win a pair of either the Sire Colorblock, the Studded Sugar Rush Canvas or the Studded Sugar Rush Turquoise sneakers from the Freshly Baked collection, please email vered (at) momgrind.com with your desired model and size and your mailing address by tonight at 5pm PDT, with the subject line “Pastry Giveaway.”
Congrats to Dr. J for winning a pair of Pastry Shoes! Giveaway is now closed.
